Who we are
Our London City employment team at Hugh James has extensive experience conducting mass settlement agreement exercises.
What we do
Undertaking a mass settlement agreement exercise is a quick and cost-effective way of arranging independent legal advice for a collective group of employees.
Our process:
Step 1 – Plan the exercise with you (the employer). We will gain an understanding of the reason for the mass settlement agreement exercise, the diversity of the staffing group who we will meet, and consider any needs of each individual employee, in order to provide a thorough, timely and sensitive approach to the overall process.
Step 2 – We will undertake an initial review of the terms and effect and will draft a clear and concise FAQ document for you and your staff to receive in good time, prior to the arranged meetings. We can also present webinar outlining the process to the employees.
Step 3 – Manage the process, which includes:
- Booking the appointments directly with the
employees,
- Making any required adjustments for the employees,
- Attending in person or remote 1 to 1 meetings with the
affected employee,
- We can also arrange group sessions with employees, if
this is preferred.
- We will liaise with your key contacts in relation to any
queries raised by the employees. This will provide you
with a project timeline of when these queries will be
raised.
- Signing the agreements digitally/in person.
- Providing a digital confidential upload of the
settlement agreements
