We’re thrilled that we have been shortlisted for both Property Law Firm of the Year and Property Deal of the Year, at the upcoming Insider Wales Property Awards 2024.
The awards celebrate the achievements of the property and construction industries in Wales over the 11 months to February 2024.
Our team of property experts, led by Partner Peter Hurn, collaborate with developers, housebuilders, housing associations, local authorities and educational institutions. We provide specialist and tailored advice on commercial property transactions, major construction and regeneration projects, planning matters, and renewable energy initiatives. We pride ourselves on having the largest social housing team in Wales, with a rich 40-year history of securing the best outcomes for our longstanding clients.
Our nomination for Property Deal of the Year recognises the significant multimillion-pound transaction completed for client Great Point Studios in September 2023. Partner Caroline O’Flaherty lead the cross-disciplinary team advising Great Point Studio on their Seren Studios land acquisition from the Welsh Government, with the transaction including an £18 million funding package from Welsh Government and the Cardiff Capital Region.
Head of Commercial Property, Peter Hurn, is looking forward to attending the ceremony.
He said:
“We’re delighted to have secured two nominations at this year’s Property Awards. This recognition is testament to the unwavering hard work, commitment and outstanding results of our team. The Great Point Studios acquisition, with Welsh Government and CCR investment, was a complex, multi-party deal. It represents a significant vote of confidence in the creative industry in Wales and Caroline and our team were proud to have played a role in it.”
We are looking forward to the ceremony which takes place on Thursday 13 June at the Coal Exchange, Cardiff.
We wish all the other finalists best of luck!
