We’re proud to announce that we have been shortlisted in four separate categories at the Claims Media Personal Injury Awards 2021, including a nomination for the third year running in the ‘Clinical Negligence Team of the Year’ category!
The annual awards celebrate the excellence of individuals and organisations across the personal injury sector.
This year, we’re delighted to be shortlisted by an independent judging panel of experts, in the following categories:
- Catastrophic Injury Team of the Year
- Claimant Team of the Year (Hugh James Asbestos team)
- Clinical Negligence Team of the Year
- Outstanding Case of the Year – Alan Collins (Partner and Head of the Hugh James Specialist Abuse team)
At Hugh James, we’ve had the honour of being awarded trophies at the Personal Injury Awards. Last year, the firm picked up two separate awards. Partner and Divisional Head of Individual Services, Stephen Webber, was crowned ‘Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year’ – with judges describing him as a “technically gifted lawyer” who “stood out” for contributing “so much to the Personal Injury sector.”
The firm also scooped the prize for ‘Clinical Negligence Team of the Year’ – the second year in a row – with judges praising their “exceptional teamwork, holistic approach to casework and creative support during the COVID pandemic.”
In 2019, we also took home two PI awards – Clinical Negligence Team of the Year and Outstanding Case of the Year.
Reacting to the latest shortlisting, Stephen Webber said:
“I’m delighted that our market leading Catastrophic injury, asbestos and clinical negligence teams have been recognised for their great client focused work by being shortlisted for the National PI Awards. It is also fantastic that Alan Collins’ amazing work on behalf of victims of child abuse has been recognised by one of his very deserving cases being shortlisted as case of the year.”
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony, which will be held at New Dock Hall in Leeds on 23 November.
