It is widely accepted that the parents are not supposed to outlive their children. Such loss is clearly devastating and the loss is unmeasurable.
This year’s theme is ‘You are not alone’.
We support charities such as 2Wish and offer legal advice to families who sadly find themselves needing specialist advice after they have lost a child. 2Wish support families and individuals affected by the sudden death of young people. Their mission is to ensure that all those who are affected by the sudden and traumatic death of a child or young adult aged 25 or under received the bereavement support that they deserve.
To join in and show your support for the day please light a candle on Monday 3 July at 7pm to remember all of the children who have sadly lost their lives all too soon.
The Serious Injury Team at Hugh James specialises in supporting families after fatal incidents such as road traffic collisions including those where a child has been killed. We see, all too often, the devastation it causes to not only parents, but to the wider family.
