This year, ‘Hats for Headway’ will be celebrated on Friday 19 May 2023.
Hats for Headway gives individuals the opportunity to wear a silly hat to raise awareness of brain injuries during Action for Brain Injury Week (ABI Week) and also to raise money for the charity.
Last year the Hugh James Serious Injury team and Court of Protection team in Cardiff filmed a fun video in place of a photo. We were delighted to be awarded the best group entry by Headway and we had a lot of fun pulling together the video.
This year, we challenged ourselves to go bigger, and we were excited to involve colleagues across our Cardiff, London and Manchester offices in one video. You will see from the video that it lasts 90 seconds which fits in with the theme of ABI week ‘Every 90 seconds’– sadly somebody is admitted to hospital every 90 seconds in the UK with a brain injury.
We will also be making a donation to Headway to support the terrific work the charity does day in day out.
