Life at Hugh James
Life at Hugh James is vibrant and full of opportunities. Our culture is friendly and collegiate but we maintain the professional atmosphere you would expect from a modern, leading law firm.
With social, charity and professional events throughout the year, there is more to working at Hugh James than just the day job.
Our core values of passion, leadership, integrity, empathy and results shape our culture and underpin all we do.
We’re committed to working with charities to support vulnerable people in communities in which we live and work. This presents opportunities for staff to engage in fundraising activities, charitable challenges and awareness campaigns throughout the year. All of our staff are given two days out of the office each year to support charitable initiatives of their choice.
Our environment
The firm’s headquarters is located at Two Central Square in Cardiff. The office provides a premium environment for clients and staff alike with a dedicated client floor where we welcome visitors and host events.
We’re proud to say that Two Central Square is a Breeam building. Breeam measures sustainable value in a series of categories, ranging from energy to ecology.
Our London office is in the heart of the City and shares the same working environment as our HQ. The office is easily accessible via the London Underground network and London bus routes. The nearest stations are Moorgate and Bank.
Future Plans
We are an ambitious firm and have put together a five-year strategy. Every employee of Hugh James plays a part in bringing this plan to life through divisional, department and individual business plans. Objective setting is specifically targeted at strategy goals, which allows everyone to personally adopt the strategy and play an active part in delivering results.
