Hugh James has advised long standing client Rhondda Housing Association (RHA) on its acquisition of the former Co-Op supermarket site on Dunraven Street in Tonypandy.
The team – lead by partner Caroline O’Flaherty and supported by Caroline Melville, Associate and Clare Folland – Nickels, Senior Licensed Conveyancer, – advised RHA on the deal which completed on 28 June 2019. The project will see the site undergo significant development to provide new bespoke commercial retail space, co-working areas, affordable homes to rent and, potentially Rhondda Housing Association’s new head office. The mixed-tenure development is part of a significant scheme for the future regeneration of the Town Centre of Tonypandy, which is set to take place over the next two years.
