Carlos is a Legal Director in the Serious Injury Team. He joined Hugh James in 2012. With over two decades of pursing personal injury claims, Carlos is a highly experienced solicitor specialising in cases where clients have suffered life changing and catastrophic injuries, particularly loss of limb and polytrauma.

Carlos qualified as a solicitor in 1999. He joined Hugh James in 2012 and advanced to associate in 2015 becoming a senior associate in 2018 and a Legal Director in 2024.
Expertise
- Carlos recently recovered £3.65 million for a motorcyclist who suffered a below knee amputation as a result of a car pulling into his path when carrying out a filtering manoeuvre. There was provision in the award for several different prostheses due to the different sports the client participated in.
- £1.5 million was recovered for a car passenger who suffered a significant and permanent spinal injury at the age of 17 causing her to change her career ambitions to a less physically demanding role.
